Old families on that ridge called the cut Tsulawé and marked the way to it with red thread on the trees — not to find it. To know when you were getting close.
It does not take you. It takes what you bring it, and what it takes is specific: the recent first, then the sweet, then the names. People walk up there on purpose. That is the part worth sitting with.
